The responsibilities of the Associate Project Manager include managing projects with the given methodology (waterfall or agile), managing schedules (milestone or sprints), maintaining risk/issue logs and completing regular internal/external status reports.
Job description:
- Coordinate actions and discussions around project changes within the project team and associated sales team as needed.
- Understand the customer's success criteria and status reporting.
- Actively monitors the needs and expectations of the customer.
- Works with Resource Management Office (RMO) to ensure adequate project staffing.
- Accurately maintain all processes, approvals and system tools related to specific projects.
- Coordinate kick-off and onboarding meetings.
- Coordinate with client and team members.
- Update client on project term and budget consumption.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline with 2-4 years of working experience in a project coordination/management role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with stakeholder management and building relationships.
- Coordinate with geographically distributed teams and assist in training and coaching to achieve project goals.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse, global, cross-functional teams.
- Possesses project management certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master is a plus.
