Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying regulatory & FCC compliance risks and performing compliance risk assessments. Regulatory knowledge includes Banking Act/ Securities & Financial Act/ Financial Advisors Act.
  • Monitor regulatory change developments and potential impact of regulatory change, including performing gap analysis and providing compliance advisory to stakeholders
  • Perform and support conduct risk assessments, EWRA assessment etc
  • Assist in providing training to create compliance awareness including on thematic issues
  • Reviews and assist in carrying out the effective deployment of NFRO (non-financial risk operations) program
  • Provide compliance advise on compliance matters
  • Review new product approvals and any new business initiatives
  • Assist in providing oversight and support over transaction and surveillance framework
  • Assist to maintain regulatory relationships
  • Liaise/engage with relevant stakeholder as well as other Global Business and Functions to provide expertise and support on all Compliance related matters
  • Interact with Regulators and industry bodies on Compliance matters
  • Ensure the appropriate timely and relevant risk information is provided to management, in-country management and Compliance management.
  • Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with business managers at the Global and Country levels.
  • Resolve any/all identified issues promptly and escalate concerns to Team Leads and CCO in Singapore as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns.
  • Maintain and observe all control standards and implement and observe FIMs, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking or in related majors
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) or hands-on KYC/CDD experience dealing with corporate banking clients
  • Good to have experience in managing escalation cases
  • Good to have operations risk exposure, sanctions knowledge/ fraud.
  • Must have good working knowledge of regulations (like Banking Act, MAS Act, MAS Notice 626)
  • Must be analytical and have a good eye for detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Able to work both as a team player as well as independently
