Our client is looking for an L3 Application Support to join their team based in Malaysia to ensure the stability and performance of core banking applications. By providing L3 support and engaging in application maintenance, the individual will contribute significantly to the reliability of payment systems and overall banking operations, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and trust in financial services. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Incident Resolution:
- Handle and resolve Level 3 support incidents escalated from L1 and L2 teams, focusing on AS400-based core banking applications.
- Troubleshoot issues related to payment processing and integration, ensuring quick restoration of services.
Application Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance on applications running on the AS400 platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor system health and performance metrics to pre-emptively address potential issues.
Development Support:
- Assist in the development and enhancement of applications using RPG, C, and Java, specifically tailored for core banking functionalities.
- Support ongoing projects related to payments and integrations.
DevOps Implementation:
- Participate in DevOps initiatives to automate deployment processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
ALDON Automation:
- Utilize ALDON for managing software deployments on the AS400 platform, ensuring controlled and efficient change management.
- Document deployment processes and contribute to the improvement of automation scripts.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business analysts, to resolve issues and implement changes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on incident statuses and resolution timelines.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Assist in creating training materials and resources for junior team members.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- With 3 - 5 years' experience in application support with banking domain background.
- Proficiency in RPG, C, and Java programming languages, with a solid understanding of AS400 and DB2 databases.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automation and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with ALDON for software deployment and version control on the AS400 platform.
- Understanding of payment processing systems and the ability to troubleshoot related issues.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify root causes of incidents and develop effective solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with various teams.
- Able to legally work in Malaysia without a visa, due to security clearance.
