Responsibilities
- Attend toolbox meetings and document operational statuses in logs.
- Support shift operations during manpower shortages or special periods.
- Adhere to SOPs, EHS regulations, and complete checksheets accurately.
- Report near misses, deviations, and incidents promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, track tools, and ensure safe handovers.
- Collect data/samples, support SOP revisions, and monitor supplies.
- Participate in ASDM activities, manage car seal program, and report valve positions for safety.
- Ensure product quality and prevent contamination.
- Stop operation if abnormalities arise, inform supervisor, and participate in risk management during non-routine work.
- Participate in CERT, emergency drills, and act according to the emergency plan as needed.
- Act as shift representative, provide feedback, and train new technicians.
- Follow HR policies, participate in overtime if needed, and support ad-hoc shift work when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a chemical processing environment; experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is a plus.
- Basic understanding of chemical processing and familiarity with ISO14001, ISO9001, and SS506 Part 3.
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, day-shift environment.
