Product-Project Supervisor (Automation), Jurong (Contract)
Summary
This job manages product development projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process and into finished product state, from initiation through delivery. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of team members. Be confident and articulate to present to stakeholders and management. Exercises independent judgement in methods, techniques, and evaluation to obtain results. May serve as team leadership role with cross-functional members and have responsibility to managing their deliverables. Active participation and contribution in Agile process to drive Project results through collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and control Project Scope, Schedule, Budget, Risk Mitigation, Development Process Compliance, Validation/Verification, Certification, Qualification, Industrialization and Production Release during Product Development.
- Provide technical support in engineering reviews.
- Recognize/anticipate barriers to completing assigned work/projects.
- Drive and own preventive initiatives for Program/Project.
- Focus on streamlining methods for increased efficiencies and competencies.
- Works effectively with cross functional departments and partners to achieve the Program/Project goals.
Interpersonal: - Influence business groups to incorporate recommendations.
- Demonstrate good working relationships.
- May serve as mentor and provide guidance for those with less experience.
- Continue to collaborate and build teamwork with others.
- Demonstrate responsiveness and promptness in serving customer needs.
- Protect confidential information. Act with high integrity.
Leadership: - Lead and collaborate across teams consisting of cross-functional personnel to prioritize and address critical issues to closure.
- Apply accurate logic and common sense in making decisions.
- Ability to think abstract with limited information and uncertainty to chart path forward.
- Communicates effectively.
- Facilitate and Lead Meetings to drive project activities and initiatives.
- Know when to act and when to escalate decision-making process.
- Consider alternative solutions and perspectives before making decisions.
- Act resourcefully to complete work within specified time.
- Collaborate with business partners to assess risk and develop strategy to ensure continuity of products.
Experience Requirements: - Good analytical skills. Addresses complex initiatives in creative and effective ways.
- Experienced working in cross-functional, cross-business, and cross-cultural environment.
- Experienced in product development, regulatory & compliance, and environmental process.
- Proven record to lead multiple teams, partner with management to resolve conflicts and obtain resources for projects. Effectively communicates and gives presentations to stakeholders.
- Proven record to direct resources, plan project activity and balance financial budgets.
- Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical/Electronic/Computer science or equivalent engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years in a Hardware or Firmware Engineering background.
- Minimum of 3-5 years Product-Project Management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other PM Certification
- Certified Functional Safety IEC61508 and Cybersecurity IEC-62443-4-1/-2 will be a plus
* Certified Agile, SAFe, or relevant experience will be a plus
