  • Lead a project design team from inception to delivery of hyperscale data centres with related activities for new builds
  • Liaise with and support the Development Manager and senior management on client and customer proposals to ensure that there is seamless transition once projects are implemented
  • Collaborate with our top cloud and enterprise customers and communicate presentations on all aspects of design
  • Develop high level master planning, space planning and engineering solutions for potential new developments (feasibility stage)
  • Produce consultant briefs to develop designs from feasibility stage through concept, scheme and detailed design stages, ensuring continuity of design philosophy and approach
  • Coordinate technical aspects of direct procured equipment and facilitate alignment with the design team
  • Understand commercial implications of engineering decisions and build cost models for customers.
  • Leverage local subject matter expert's tribal knowledge, spread adoption of best practices
  • Coordinate closely with data centre field operations to foster alignment and partnerships for business success
  • Provide regular reporting, updates and presentations to senior management and internal stakeholders including progress reporting, risk assessments, investment committees, customer proposals and business case development.
  • Build and manage project scope, equipment requirements and assist with proposals and capital requests
  • Stay updated on data centre industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, incorporating them into designs and builds as appropriate

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in design and project delivery;
  • A Bachelor's engineering degree is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of Australia business regulations with extensive experience working with relevant Partners in the region.
  • Experience working for a data centre operator and previous hyperscale and cloud experience, ideally in the Asia Pacific market
  • Good overall knowledge of the current data centre market in Australia
  • Excel at communication and can deliver effective presentations on data centre operations to customers, peers and management
  • Good leadership and foresight to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple geographies
  • Willing to travel to other APAC regions on a regular basis
