Responsibilities
- Conduct sensory evaluations, physical and analytical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document non-conformance issues and investigate customer complaints or rejected items (internal and external).
- Issue documents such as TDS (Technical Data Sheets) and COA (Certificates of Analysis).
- Respond to technical inquiries from internal departments, affiliates, and customers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure external calibration of laboratory equipment is completed on time.
- Oversee the proper functioning of QC laboratories (chemical, sensory, microbiology, retain sample room) adhering to ISO9001, 5S, Lean principles, ISO14000, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Assist in implementing enhancements in QA/QC processes.
Requirements
- Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge and interpretation of gas chromatography, familiarity with densimeter and refractive index equipment.
- Basic sensory evaluation capability or potential to develop this skill.
- Good to have SAP knowledge.
