Sheet Metal Technician (Aircraft / Aerospace/ Airframe)
6-Months Contract

Salary: Up to $3,500 depending on experience
Our client is an aerospace manufacturer. They manufacture military rotorcraft as well as commercial helicopters. Our client also involves in wholesale of aircraft equipment and aircraft supplies (including aeronautical equipment).
Job Summary
- To complete sheet metal repairs. Daily operational requirement in repair, modifications and alterations of aircraft in order to meet customer requirements.
General Responsibilities:
- Setting up drill hole patterns replicating existing patterns or meeting new installation requirements. Proper material corrosion control preparation prior to and after sheet metal processes.
- Perform sheet metal repair process including but not limited to cutting, bending, calculating edge distance, deburring, corrosion protection, riveting, sanding, priming.
- Perform composite repairs on airframe structure and cowlings as necessary.
- Carry out scheduled inspections on aircraft as per applicable maintenance programs.
- Inspection of airframes and parts in accordance with work packages and technical data.
- Identify aircraft major and minor discrepancies and determine the proper corrective actions required to rectify discrepancies.
- Identify part requirements and raise Purchase Request.
- Work in close coordination with the Planning and Trade Supervisors to ensure that the work is performed within the scheduled timeframe.
- Ensuring proper safety measures are taken into account in supporting repair operations.
- Ensure that Aircraft documentation is completed in accordance with the Companies Standards and operator's requirements.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Company quality standards, policies & procedures and Regulatory Authority requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum National ITE Certificate/Diploma in Aerospace Technology or equivalent
- Experience in structural repair, alterations, and inspections primarily linked to aircraft structures.
- Understanding of the function, operation, maintenance and repair of airframe sub-components
- Able to read and understand engineering technical data including maintenance manuals, installation instructions and aircraft drawings.
- Able to coordinate repairs, installations, or alterations with other departments to ensure aircraft are completed and inspected for each aircraft assignment.
