We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support the Risk Management Group (RMG) Data Steward in managing Data Quality, Discoverability, Ownership, and Access. This role will be instrumental in driving data governance initiatives, ensuring data integrity, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Host regular RMG Data Quality forums and represent RMG at Group-level Data Issue meetings.
  • Facilitate cross-department discussions to address and resolve data issues.
  • Collaborate with RMG stakeholders to enhance data quality monitoring reports and processes.
  • Participate in data ownership discussions and follow up on key action items.
  • Assist in reviewing and setting up data access permissions for users.
  • Drive data management reviews, including BCBS239 annual reviews.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance or any related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing data issues, profiling, and implementing data quality improvements.
  • Good knowledge of data quality principles and data governance best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex data issues in a simplified manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and process optimization.
