We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Valuation Officer to join one of our banking clients. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the bank's credit risk function by overseeing and analysing property valuations for loan applications and existing portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Valuation Management:

  • Liaise with Front Office teams (e.g., Loan Officers) to gather necessary information for property valuations.
  • Instruct and manage external valuation providers (in UK and Australia) to conduct desktop and formal valuations.
  • Review valuation reports for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to bank policies and industry standards.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies in valuation reports.
  • Communicate and resolve any issues or concerns with internal stakeholders and external valuers.


Credit Administration Support:

  • Respond to inquiries and requests received through the team's functional mailbox.
  • Assist with various credit administration tasks as required.


Valuer Performance Monitoring:

  • Assess the performance of external valuation providers.
  • Provide feedback to the Policy team on valuer performance and potential areas for improvement.


Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-quality valuation services to business units with a consistent and systematic approach.
  • Achieve and maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in all valuation-related tasks.
  • Adhere to strict deadlines and turnaround times for all assignments.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate or equivalent field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a property valuation firm or a similar role within a financial institution.
  • Solid understanding of property valuation methodologies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the UK or Australia property market is good to have
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
