The Delivery Lead / Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions by leading and mentoring an Agile Scrum team. This role demands a blend of good technical acumen and agile leadership to drive team performance, optimize delivery pipelines, and enforce development best practices. Acting as a bridge between business and technology, the Delivery Lead will collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and developers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.


Key Responsibilities


  • Champion Agile principles, coaching the team and Product Owner to adopt a collaborative and iterative mindset.

  • Provide hands-on technical mentorship, conduct code reviews, and address architectural concerns to maintain high coding standards.

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives with a focus on productivity and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the backlog, ensuring clear, actionable user stories and a well-defined roadmap.

  • Lead the adoption of CI/CD practices, test automation, and deployment pipelines to streamline releases and improve delivery cadence.

  • Monitor and refine estimation practices to enhance sprint predictability and improve delivery timelines.

  • Ensure consistent application of the Definition of Done (DoD) to reduce rework and sprint carryovers.

  • Proactively resolve development bottlenecks, encourage cross-functional communication, and drive overall team velocity.

  • Promote technical excellence by advocating for clean code, modern design patterns, and DevSecOps best practices.

  • Act as an Agile coach and mentor, promoting continuous learning and improving collaboration across teams.

  • Strengthen team engagement and alignment with organizational goals by fostering a high-performance, inclusive team culture.

Skills & Qualifications



Technical Expertise:


  • 10+ years of software development experience, including proficiency in Java, and Node.js.

  • Deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, and scalable software architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with code reviews, refactoring, and enforcing coding standards.

  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and automation practices.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).

  • Experience with both relational (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases, including performance tuning.


Agile & Leadership Skills:


  • 5+ years in leadership roles such as Team Lead, Delivery Lead, or Scrum Master within Agile teams.

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools.

  • Good track record of coaching Agile teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on best practices.

  • Skilled in backlog management, story grooming, sprint planning, and Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time).

  • Ability to resolve conflicts, mentor team members, and foster a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align development with business priorities.

Work Experience Requirements:


  • Proven experience delivering complex software projects in Agile environments.

  • Excellent DevOps experience including continuous integration, test automation, and deployment pipelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive technical innovation, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
