Fragrance Lab Technologist (Maternity Cover) Jurong, Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct application test of oil samples and make application samples for evaluation and submission to customers within a specific time frame.
  • In charge of monitoring projects and ensure projects run smoothly with the specified time frame
  • Monitor the application test and ensure its stability.
  • Observe the durability of the samples and report on abnormality.
  • Assist in formulating new bases, policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of application and samples for sensory testing
  • Maintain and track stock level of laboratory equipment and supplies such as glass bottles, raw materials, etc., for base formulation.
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Systematic filing and maintenance of formulation and records.
  • Regularly check and ensure raw materials are stored at correct temperature to ensure quality and safety.
  • Ensure that bio-hazardous materials are disposed safely.
  • Perform standard laboratory tests in according to prescribed procedures and recording of test results.
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment and workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Basic sensory skills
  • Degree in Science & Technology, Cosmetic and Perfumery, Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Basic laboratory procedures and methodology
  • Knowledge of fragrance-related products
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in fragrance application
