As a Java developer, you will be on boarded in the project team that develops and supports the application. This project is a migration of a big data application by using the up-to-date technologies.

Job Scope

  • Deliver fully tested source code.
  • Address technical aspects with architect and functional aspects with business analyst.
  • Liaise with business analysts for clarification and understanding of requirements.
  • Analyze technical constraints considering functional impacts with technical lead's help.
  • Provide detailed estimation for development of solutions.
  • Perform design and code review for other team members.



Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information technology with financial or banking industry background.
  • With more than 5 years of experience in SQL.
  • With 2+ years of experience in Java/Spark SQL with relational database of ExaCC and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in agile development project.
  • Hands on experience of end-to-end project delivery with phases of design, development, maintenance and support.
  • Experience of big data application (dealing with large data sets, optimization, etc.).
  • Understanding of data modelling skills.
  • Nice to have CI/CD - DevOps tools and experience in cloud migration.
  • A pro-active and has a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Reliable in performing duties while maintaining close communication with rest of project/support team.
  • Open to work on different time zone if required, at least one or two weeks per month (starting at 7am or ending at 1am) to ensure the support activity of other countries.
