Job Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers, ensuring effective project execution and the professional development of team members.

  • Oversee the team's IT budget management.

  • Collaborate with IT partners to identify and support technology-driven innovation initiatives.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to facilitate MVP, including deployment, testing, and validation.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and engage vendors to assess the suitability of new solutions.

  • Assist IT leadership in developing annual work and resource plans.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations through governance processes.

  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive-level communication.

  • Provide status reporting to management regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and communication across leadership and relevant project stakeholders.

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.

  • Ensure the program is aligned with and supports strategic objectives.

  • Understand interdependencies between technology and business needs.

  • Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

  • At least 15+ years of experience, preferably with exposure to the Banking and Finance industry and technology environments, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in system development work with prior experience in functional, technical specifications and system development.

  • Solid understanding and experience in the software development cycle (Waterfall or Agile best practices).

  • Highly effective in communicating with non-technical stakeholders, proficient in communicating with technical stakeholders.

  • Good problem-solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking, and solutioning skills.

  • Excellent negotiation and vendor project management skills.

  • Experience in vendor product management.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

  • A confident and self-aware leader with a high degree of independence and analytical/problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to clearly articulate complex matters and provide recommendations on the best course of action to be taken.

  • Full end-to-end project management experience in a leadership role.

  • Executive-level communication skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure, managing deadlines and facing unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

  • Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team-oriented environment under pressure.
