Summary:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network and server issues on a rotational basis. The role requires handling alerts, managing escalated calls, and meeting SLA requirements. The engineer must adhere to SOPs and ensure continuous network and security operations, while maintaining flexibility in work schedules, including covering shifts as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and server issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage alerts, escalated calls, and help desk tickets to meet SLA requirements.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for handling system alerts and routine tasks.
  • Maintain flexibility for unconventional shifts and cover colleague shifts when required.
  • Monitor network infrastructure and security devices (routers, firewalls, switches, etc.).
  • Perform daily monitoring of network infrastructure and security issues.
  • Investigate network issues, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with other teams.
  • Escalate critical incidents to specialized teams for timely resolution.
  • Document network incidents, changes, and resolutions for future reference and reporting.


Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Good knowledge of networking principles and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SDWAN).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in network-related roles.
  • CCNA certification required.
  • Experience with networking security solutions (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Sophos).
  • Experience with networking solutions (e.g., Cisco, HPE, Juniper, Aruba, Dell, Ruckus).
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
