Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of quality assurance procedures and policies.
- Manage the QA & QC document system.
- Assist in maintaining quality master data in SAP and product release.
- Provide training and support on quality procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure readiness for internal and external quality audits.
- Continuously enhance the effectiveness of the quality management system.
- Serve as the site quality contact and represent the customer's voice (VOC) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage customer quality requests and lead customer audits, including corrective and preventive action follow-ups.
- Support Sales and Business Development teams by investigating complaints based on severity and customer requirements, implementing containment measures, and driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using methodologies such as 8D and 5 Whys.
- Coordinate major changes with customers, including packaging modifications, raw material changes, and new asset homologation plans.
- Establish and maintain customer specifications, ensuring alignment with plant capabilities.
- Lead or support product certification processes.
- Assist Process and Production teams in mastering product quality, approving new raw materials and packaging, and maintaining raw material specifications.
- Manage product orientation and derogation decisions.
- Oversee new product homologation and coordinate grade transfers from other manufacturing sites.
- Support polymer unit production wheel management.
- Actively participate in HSE programs and initiatives (e.g., zero LTI targets, waste management).
- Lead by example and ensure compliance with HSE policies at all times.
- Conduct laboratory safety audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Enforce waste management protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of organic chemistry, polymers, quality management, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
