Position Summary
Lead and manage a team overseeing automation systems (PCS/PLC, MES, EBR, Historian). Drive strategic initiatives for system optimization, digital manufacturing solutions, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with GMP standards and security protocols, while promoting operational efficiencies and cross-functional collaboration. Foster a culture of safety, data integrity, and technology advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Automation Engineers and Data Analysts, focusing on development, performance reviews, and achieving operational objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of manufacturing automation systems, ensuring system optimization, troubleshooting, and compliance.
- Implement and manage automation and digital technology roadmaps, including system upgrades and enhancements.
- Promote Good Data Management practices, ensuring team adherence to ALCOA principles and compliance with GMP standards.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and collaboration with operations teams.
- Manage department budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead small-to-medium projects, utilizing internal and external resources to enhance system capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external providers to implement and maintain advanced automation solutions.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Technology with relevant process control or manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in automation/digital systems within GMP or pharmaceutical environments.
- Expertise in process control systems (e.g., Emerson DeltaV), MES systems, cybersecurity, and IIoT technologies.
- Proficiency in computer system validation methodologies and batch process control
- Good leadership, teamwork, and coaching skills, with a track record of managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
