Job Summary


This position is responsible for designing and developing innovative robotic manipulation solutions, including gripper technologies and EOAT systems, to enhance manufacturing automation. The role involves researching, developing, and deploying static and mobile robotic manipulation strategies, integrating mechatronic system designs and peripherals. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of robotic automation through design, development, testing, and analysis.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of custom static/mobile robotic manipulation solutions with advanced grippers and EOAT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conceptualize designs, and test robotic solutions.
  • Research and develop new strategies for robotic manipulation to optimize industrial automation.
  • Define and document mechatronic system specifications for robotic solutions based on manufacturing requirements.
  • Create cost-effective and manufacturable designs, considering production feasibility and time constraints.
  • Engage and manage external vendors and partners for project execution, system integration, and cost control.
  • Conduct design reviews, present progress updates, and ensure solutions align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and system schematics throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Use hand calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA, motion analysis) to validate system performance.
  • Design and implement electronic control circuits and algorithms for electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Build and test proof-of-concept (PoC) prototypes, MVPs, and production-ready robotic systems using rapid prototyping and conventional manufacturing methods.
  • Develop test plans, experimental setups, and analysis procedures to ensure robotic systems meet performance specifications.
  • Document technical reports, manuals, and intellectual property filings related to robotic system designs.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in robotics, mechatronics design, and EOAT development.
  • Good understanding of robot manipulators, robotic grippers, AMRs, sensors, actuators, and automation systems.
  • Expertise in mechanical engineering design, hands-on prototyping, and product development.
  • Proven experience in delivering innovative solutions with Good problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good project management and organizational skills, ensuring timely execution of deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Ansys, Abaqus, NASTRAN).
  • Knowledge of control systems (e.g., PID, PWM, PLC), sensors, actuators (electromechanical/pneumatic), and electronics.
  • Experience with microcontroller programming and electrical circuit design.
  • Ability to participate in design reviews, provide technical insights, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes across low, medium, and high-volume production.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards for robotics and automation systems is a plus.
  • Experience with robotic simulation tools (e.g., ROS, Gazebo) is a plus.
