Job scopes
- Install, configure, and maintenance of TCP/IP configurations/setup, Infoprint printer and terminals.
- Install, configure and maintenance of z/OS Unix system libraries.
- Monitor TCP/IP, Infoprint and z/OS Unix/USS environment performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with application teams to ensure that applications are designed to perform optimally on TCP/IP and Infoprint.
- Perform system tuning to ensure TCP/IP is running optimally.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for TCP/IP, Infoprint, z/OS Unix/USS including engagement of vendors for problem resolution and determination.
- Provide process automation support and maintain SOP documentation.
- Support backup/recovery and disaster/recovery planning and testing.
- Support periodic system configuration reviews and audit reviews.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 5-10 years of experience working with z/OS Mainframe VTAM (Virtual Telecommunications Access Method), SNA & TCP/IP, Infoprint and z/OS Unix environment including experience with REXX, COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF
- Understanding and support of enterprise encryption applications and processes such as TCPIP AT/TLS & SSL/TLS
- Implementation, configuration, and support of mainframe TCP/IP in a z/OS Parallel Sysplex environment
- Familiarity and support of 3rd party software e.g. Omegamon, LDAP, SSH, etc
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
